Kavala is the modern name for Biblical Neapolis where Paul first came to Europe. The Via Egnatia, old Roman Road went from here accross Macedonia to the Adriatic. Filippi was the Roman Colony where Paul met Lydia and baptized the jailer. We will see the prison where Paul and Silas were beaten and held along with the river where “prayer was want to be made.” Thessalonniki, Veria was known as Berea in Bible times. Paul said they were more noble than the Thessalonians because they received the word with an open mind (Acts 17:11) Pella & Vergina the birthplace and capital of Philip and Alexander the Great overnight at Veria |

We received this note from Tony & Helen Moore Sunday on Sept. 17 in Athens:
Arrived early to prepare for the group. Visited Mars Hill where Paul spoke to the supreme court. Very moving. Worshiped with the church in Athens. It was packed. Many people from around the world, Russians, Bulgarians, people from Philippines, and a number of Greek believers. Traveling north today to meet the group in Kavala and really excited about this journey in the footsteps of Paul. Tony
